Article 1. To facilitate cooperation between research in cell therapy, regenerative medicine and clinical medicine, and to promote and manage cell therapy clinical trials, Taipei Medical University’s Center for Cell Therapy and Regeneration Medicine (TMU-CCTRM) was established.
Article 2. TMU-CCTRM seeks to integrate TMU resources to perform research in cell therapy and regenerative medicine. The center’s world-class Good Tissue Practice (GTP) laboratory provides a reliable source of cells for clinical research. The center cultivates talents to promote this research focus in cell therapy and regenerative medicine.
Article 3. Missions
1. Integration of TMU resources to perform research in cell therapy and regenerative medicine. Our goal is to establish a clinical research database and employ data analysis to facilitate both basic and translational research in cell therapy and regenerative medicine.
2. Establishment of GTP laboratory conforming to international regulations and development of standard operating procedures in clinical cell manufacturing. Our goal is to provide clinical-grade cells for clinical research in cell therapy and regenerative medicine.
3. Strengthening of international cooperation and facilitation of industry- academic cooperation in the field of cell therapy and regenerative medicine.
Article 4. The center’s director coordinates administrative and research affairs. A major contributor with research excellence in related fields is hired by the university president.
Article 5. Vice-director, researchers and administrative personnel are nominated by the director and hired by the university president.
Article 6. An advisory committee recruited by the director assists in center leadership.
Article 7. Research projects undertaken by the center should conform to TMU rules and relevant laws on industry-academic cooperation, research credit distribution, intellectual property rights, and industry returns.
Article 8. The center is essentially self-funded and should be evaluated regularly in terms of research outcomes and operational performance.
Article 9. These regulations were established by the School Committee and enacted after notice.Amendments should follow the same procedure.
